Canada Regulatory Context

In Ontario, online gambling is regulated by the AGCO, with iGaming Ontario operating the regulated market. Other provinces regulate gambling under their own frameworks.

Currently, online casino games cannot be legally offered to Canadaers by Canada-licensed operators. Online lotteries and TAB sports betting are the only Canada-licensed online gambling products. Canadian players in Ontario can play online casino games legally at AGCO-registered operators, which is the audience this site is built for.

Multi-Venue Exclusion (MVE) is an in-person self-exclusion programme available at land-based gaming venues across Canada. If you exclude yourself at one venue, that exclusion applies to other participating venues. Coming in early 2026. On 30 July 2024, the Canada Government confirmed that an online casino licensing system will be in place from early 2026.
